Bias gets a bad rap. It often has a negative connotation, similar to a term like prejudice. But, in marketing, bias is a good thing. It a differentiator, a feeling that separates your brand from the rest.
Bias is why you might look the New York Times when you need objective news or why you might go to Amazon.com for last-minute purchases. You have a bias for these companies because of trust or timeliness or quality.
